Description
Clomid
Clomid steroids (clomiphene citrate) are a medication prescribed to women dealing with anovulatory infertility, which means they have trouble ovulating. In medical terms, it is classified as a nonsteroidal ovulatory stimulant. Clomiphene citrate is a synthetic estrogen with both agonist and antagonist properties, very similar in structure and action to Nolvadex. The combination of these estrogenic and anti-estrogenic properties is believed to play a crucial role in its effectiveness in supporting female fertility.
The reason for this is that when there is no presence of testosterone or other anabolic/androgenic steroids to maintain an ongoing anabolic signal, the catabolic hormone cortisol takes over and starts to impact muscle protein synthesis significantly. This situation is commonly known as the post-steroid crash.

Side Effects of Clomid Steroids
Clomiphene citrate is generally well tolerated, with a low incidence of significant side effects. During clinical trials, common adverse reactions included ovarian enlargement (13.6%), vasomotor flushes (10.4%), abdominal discomfort (5.5%), nausea/vomiting (2.2%), breast discomfort (2.1%), visual symptoms (1.5%), headache (1.3%), and abnormal uterine bleeding (1.3%). However, it’s essential to note that prolonged use of clomiphene citrate may increase the risk of ovarian tumors.
Some patients who use clomiphene citrate may experience visual disturbances, such as blurring, spots, or flashes¹. These symptoms tend to be more common at higher doses or with prolonged use of the medication, but they typically resolve within a few days or weeks.
